Youth Valley is a band formed in 2019, in Athens (GR), by three friends with a great passion for creating music. Their music combines post punk with dreamy pop and shoegaze and is characterized by a rich guitaristic mix of fuzzy walls of sound and reverb-drenched guitar melodies, heavy use of pedal effects and ambient fading vocals that contribute to a sentimental, at times happy-sad or nostalgic soundscape.
The band’s first release was their self-titled, 3 track EP (digital, 2020) and included the single-hit and music video “Young Sad Lovers”, which was also released in a limited double single 7” Vinyl by Make Me Happy Records (Athens,GR) in February of 2021. A few months later ‘Young Sad Lovers’ was also featured in Steve Lamacq’s show on BBC Radio 6.
Youth Valley’s live shows resume includes some popular events & festivals such as “Athens Release Festival” in 2022, as an opening act for veteran gothic rockers ‘Bauhaus’, Syd Sessions live in Barrett’s yard in 2022 and Death Disco Open Air Festival 2023 in Technopolis, Athens, where they shared the stage with bands like ‘Lebanon Hanover’, ‘VNV Nation’ and ‘Sad Lovers And Giants’ and more.
Έκτοτε εμφανίζονται σταθερά σε live σκηνές, ενώ συμμετείχαν και στο Death Disco Open Air Festival 2023, στην Τεχνόπολη της Αθήνας, μοιραζόμενοι τη σκηνή με συγκροτήματα όπως οι Lebanon Hanover, VNV Nation και Sad Lovers And Giants.
